Nutribody Protein ® is unlike any protein health supplement on the market. It is a non-soy, all vegetarian protein that has all the high protein benefits of a dairy/whey protein without the digestive side effects or cholesterol. It has all the natural health advantages of a soy protein, but Nutribody’s vegan protein powder is a scientifically designed blend of rice and pea protein to offer higher Protein Efficiency Ratio, no allergies, and will not disturb hormone balances. Then we added a clinically proven, highly effective amino acid, Citrulline Malate, to optimize circulation and reduce fatigue. The end result is not just another protein, but Bio Digestible, nutrient-rich, high-performance, Nutribody Protein ®.*

Nutribody Protein ® Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the difference between whey protein and Nutribody's pea & rice protein?
Most protein on the market is based on whey, or whey isolates, and many people experience side effects such as bloating, gas, constipation, acne, and more from these protein supplements. While it is true that whey protein does not contain casein or lactose, whey protein does contain highly concentrated allergens such as alpha-lactalbumin and beta-lactoglobulin, which can trigger a sustained low level reaction. That's the reason so many people feel slightly "off" after taking whey proteins -- or can't consume whey protein for several hours before a workout or event. In addition, whey tends to be very high in cholesterol. But most importantly of all, because whey protein absorbs in less than 2 hours, it can't provide the sustained energy required for weight loss or long-term performance (whereas Nutribody Protein® will keep you going for up to four hours). Lastly, new research shows that whey protein can actually contribute to a condition called aminoacidemia, which may be a long-term contributing factor in the onset of diabetes.
How is Nutribody the first BioDigestible protein?
One of the greatest benefits of Nutribody's vegan protein powder is that it is hypoallergenic (unlike dairy, whey, soy, or egg based proteins), which means it is highly unlikely that you will have any allergy or digestive problems when using it. This is of special concern for senior citizens. For more information about brown rice and pea protein, as well as the benefits of Citrulline Malate, see Nutribody's nutrition facts.
How do I use Nutribody Protein® to lose weight?
A Nutribody Protein® smoothie provides a healthy high protein, low calorie meal replacement that can be used as part of any weight loss program - especially those looking for vegan protein nutrition. And best of all, because of its high bio-availability and sustained release, it will keep you feeling satisfied for up to four hours - an essential in any weight loss diet. Whey protein tends to be absorbed quickly, leaving you hungry in 1-2 hours - thus forcing you to consume more calories to feel satisfied.
Does Nutribody Protein® have 23 total amino acids and does that include all the essential amino acids?
Nutribody's vegan protein powder contains all nine essential amino acids, plus all the other nonessential amino acids. It is a complete protein source. In addition, the amino acid profiles of rice and pea protein are perfectly complementary. Using them in combination optimizes the amino acid profile, thus providing you with the most complete, bio-available, hypoallergenic protein in the world. It is indeed the world's first Bio Digestible protein.
Could you address the recent studies that show high levels of arsenic present in rice, and in particular brown rice?
Regarding arsenic in rice: As the FDA has stated, there are two types of arsenic: organic and inorganic. To quote the FDA, "The inorganic forms of arsenic are the harmful forms, while the organic forms of arsenic are essentially harmless."
What they are referring to is that arsenic (and lead for that matter) that are chemically bound to the cellular structure of food (organic to that food), do not readily make their way into the bloodstream after being eaten. Rather, they stay in the food fiber and are passed out with the stool. Inorganic heavy metals, such as those sprayed on the food in pesticides, on the other hand, are bound to nothing and are readily absorbed into the bloodstream. This is a problem with a number of the rice products the FDA recently tested.
The rice we use is Certified Organic and is grown without the use of pesticides. Any heavy metals picked up from the soil are organically bound to the cellular structure of the rice and not readily available. You might find this newsletter from Jon Barron on arsenic and apples informative. http://www.jonbarron.org/natural-health/dr-oz-arsenic-in-apple-juice
Heavy Metals and Nutribody Protein, 2/5/14
Mike Adams and Natural News have just announced what Mike calls a "groundbreaking " industry accord" agreement which will have dramatic, positive ramifications for the future of brown rice protein products sold in the USA and around the world.”
The essence of the accord is that any company using rice protein in their products commit to heavy metal limits that fall below the following thresholds by July 1, 2015. And he specifically mentioned that he would be contacting Baseline Nutritionals to have Nutribody Protein commit to the same pledge.
|Lead limit:||250 ppb|
|Tungsten limit:||50 ppb|
|Cadmium limit:||1000 ppb|
|Mercury limit:||50 ppb|
We thought you’d like to know that we already test every batch of Nutribody Protein with TWO independent labs, and that Nutribody Protein already falls under the pledge guidelines for lead, cadmium, and mercury. We haven’t been testing for tungsten, but will add that to the testing protocol—and are confident it too will easily fall within the pledge guidelines.
Here are the testing results for the last batch of Nutribody Protein we ran in November 2013. It was tested by both Summit Labs and Eurofins Scientific Labs.
|Mike's Pledge Limit in PPB||Converted to PPM||Nutribody Summit Labs||Nutribody Eurofins Scientific|
While other companies that use rice protein are scrambling to meet pledge levels within the next year, you can rest assured that Nutribody Protein is already well within those guidelines…and has been from day one.
Then again, would you have expected anything else from Baseline Nutritionals?
Now, that said, it is important to note that all of the heavy metals in rice protein (as minimal as they are) exist in what is known as an "organic" form. That is: they are bound to the plant material itself and do not substantially release into the body. In that sense, they are very different from "inorganic" heavy metals as found in some drinking water, or fish, or dairy products, or sprayed on fruits as part of pesticides. Inorganic heavy metals do in fact readily release into the body. The “organic” heavy metals found in Nutribody Protein do not substantially release into the body. It is a vital health distinction that even the FDA recognizes.

Nutribody Protein® Ingredients
Below you will find a list and description of all of the ingredients featured in this dietary supplement.
Brown rice protein is high in cysteine and methionine, but tends to be low in lysine. Yellow pea protein, on the other hand, tends to be low in the sulfur containing amino acids, cysteine and methionine ‐ but is high in lysine. The bottom line is that when used in combination, brown rice protein and yellow pea protein offer a Protein Efficiency Ratio that begins to rival dairy and egg – but without their potential to promote allergic reactions, gas or bloating. The end product is 80% or higher in protein and unlike dairy, whey, soy, or egg proteins, is 100% hypoallergenic. It is highly soluble and mixes easily into water, juice, or foods.

If you have been using protein for some time, you know that the typical chalky taste of protein powder is hard to swallow. Just a small amount of guar gum allows for a higher concentration of protein to remain in suspension when the formula is mixed with liquid. (See how quickly other rice and pea formulas "settle out" when mixed with water.) Guar provides added fiber, but most importantly it dramatically improves the taste of the formula, and the flavor of food becomes paramount in maintaining a healthy, balanced diet.
Monounsaturated fat is considered to be one of the healthiest types of general fat. It has none of the adverse effects associated with saturated fats, trans-fats or omega-6 polyunsaturated vegetable oils.
Vanilla is the second most expensive spice after saffron because of the extensive labor required to grow the seed pods used in its manufacture. Synthetic vanilla, however, is more commonly used in foods as a substitute due to its cheaper cost. Synthetic vanilla is made from either the petrochemical guaiacol or from lignin, a constituent of wood and a byproduct of the paper industry. Natural vanilla certainly adds to the cost of Nutribody Protein ®, but we felt you were worth it.
Citrulline malate is a salt form of the amino acid L-citrulline. It supports the body in optimizing blood flow through its conversion to L-arginine and then nitric oxide. Nitric oxide is involved in vasodilatation, and low levels are associated with mental and physical fatigue (and sexual dysfunction). The malate, or malic acid, which is combined with the Citrulline, is found in fruits such as apples and enhances the effects of citrulline. Studies indicate that supplementation with citrulline malate may improve aerobic performance and capacity. Citrulline malate appears to work by influencing lactic acid metabolism and reducing fatigue.
Whether in dry-leaf or concentrate form, stevia has the wonderful ability to help the body regulate blood sugar. Several researchers have reported that, in these natural forms, stevia seems to correct both high and low blood sugar levels. Other scientists have stated that stevia appears to lower blood pressure, but does not seem to affect normal blood pressure. The one problem associated with stevia, though, is that it tends to have a noticeable aftertaste, which some people find objectionable. But after many months of searching, we were finally able to track down a uniquely processed form of natural stevia that has no aftertaste at all. And that’s what we use in Nutribody Protein ®.
